habemus website!

over the holidays I started a pet project regarding my own work archive as a means to provide an accurate information source in the internet about myself. my own canon.

historically I have struggled with showing my work in a cohesive way; over time, it led me to cultivate focused project portfolios for different audiences but I am not a collection of fragments so it feels practical but doesn’t feel right.

probably I will need to keep on slicing my work according to the occasion. from now on, I become able to do that in a smarter way.

until now I didn’t really have the complete skillset to bring about a frontend because I don’t enjoy writing code by hand (I don’t think I am good at it plus don’t have the time but I always have good programming concepts/theory anchored in my practice)

so… here we are! an astro frontend with colocated tests, storybook, running Sanity with Visual Editing on a free plan and with a pretty solid schema. Managed with Github Projects. Fonts by Dinamo. Powered by Claude and Gemini.

I scraped historical CV files in PDF format and older websites from the Internet Archive. Modeling and cleaning up data feels like kneading dough! I’m far from done but will get there eventually.

My ambition is to catalogue work back to 2002 (hopefully even before? but I don’t think I have backups of that time, sad story). And to add more interactivity and ways of looking into the material.

Pretty satisfied with it so far, and might decorate this post later!
